We have reached Week 2 of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, with the theme “Phight the Phish!” This week is dedicated to increasing awareness of phishing attacks, as they occur frequently at work and on personal devices.
As a form of social engineering, Phishing occurs when a bad actor poses as a trusted source, organization, or entity to steal personal information via maliciously crafted emails or websites. Once a bad actor has learned personal information, he or she is able to gain access to online accounts and damage them.
